This Past Summer?

The following prints were made during a spring printmaking extension at NIC.

Rather than wiping ink from the etched plate, as is usual, salt (and occasionally grass) was placed on the plate and a print was taken from the plate. As well, the plate was sometimes run through the press a second time without re-inking. Each run through the press is therefore unique.
